Layers of the Amazon Rainforest:
EMERGENT LAYER:
The Emergent Layer is the highest level of the Rainforest. Giant trees reach to the sky. The Emergent layers is the brightest layer with means it gets the most sunlight and is the brightest. The Emergent Layer is the worlds finest Natural Aviary. Rainforest are home to nearly 1/3 of our plants bird species. Many other species of Bats, Butterflies, and Monkeys also seek food, nesting shelter in the Emergent Layer as they look for a safe place from predators of the forest. The Emergent Layer is directly about the Canopy Layer.
CANOPY LAYER:
The Canopy Layer is found directly beneath the Emergent Layer. The Canopy Layer is the primary life sustaining layer with a bunch of food and forms of natural roof over the two layer beneath. The Canopy Layer consist of a thick layering branch system of limbs and veins that create natural vistas and form of a natural umbrella. This layer absorbs ultra-violet rays from the sun protecting the plant and animals species rays. This layer also retains moisture and make a natural shield to prevent "wash-outs" during the tremendous rain in the tropical rainy seasons.
UNDERSTORY LAYER:
The Understory is directly underneath the Canopy Layer and on top of the Forest Floor. Growth here is very dense. The Understory is dark, sometimes almost impenetrable natural habitat entwined with vines, shrub and broadleaf trees. This layer provides superior camouflage and many of the species who live here crossover between this layer and the Canopy Layer.
FOREST FLOOR:
The Forest Floor is the ground layer. Almost no sunlight reaches the Forest Floor so it is very dark. The quality of soil is very poor and few plants and vine roots actually take root. Although it is very rich in microorganism and this enviorment makes quick work of decomposition making a natural compost that is exceeding rich. Giant Anteaters, Beetles, Frogs, Lizards, Snakes and also
